Alex doesn't have to wear an eyepatch for
five months! As you can guess, he is really excited! It's been more than three years since he started wearing the eyepatch, and during that time he's stopped twice. We're all very hopeful that it stays off this time.

I noticed that somebody viewing this site stopped by mine and it drew me over. How old is your kid wearing the patch? I wore one (over right eye) from about two until about ten, it sucked in school
Alex is eight now, and hasn't had to put the patch back on. We were always able to spare him wearing it at school, which I'm glad about, but there were plenty of times when he had to wear it in public. I don't think he minded that as much as it bothering his eye. He would rub his eye for a full minute before we would put the patch on.
I am so glad it's over for now.
